Written Translation

This course combines translation practice with translation theory and also specifically looks at the link between the two with a strong emphasis on stylistic and cultural issues. It is a comprehensive translation training.

The aim of the course is to introduce students to the issues that need to be considered to reach professional standards in written translation against a background of published theoretical concepts and to help translators enhance their translation skills.

Students will practice translating between English and Arabic. Through the course, delegates will study the history and theory of translation, the current issues of the discipline, and practice translation in various forms using our available resources.
