Course overview

Regulatory enforcement of data privacy has intensified worldwide. Storing customer and employee data exposes enterprises to statutory investigations and severe financial fines if handling controls fail. This course prepares IT security and legal teams to construct auditable privacy architectures that satisfy stringent statutory demands.

Instruction progresses systematically through core privacy management disciplines. Delegates evaluate cross-border regulatory mandates including GDPR and CCPA before implementing technical safeguards such as data minimisation and anonymisation. Practical modules guide delegates through privacy impact assessments, risk scoring and breach management workflows.

Delegates analyse reporting structures, accountability models and audit cycles. The final day reviews professional syllabus domains and sample practice questions associated with credentials such as CDPSP and CDPSE.

Course objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  1. Evaluate statutory data protection requirements under global frameworks including GDPR and CCPA
  2. Implement privacy-by-design principles, data minimisation controls and privacy impact assessments
  3. Assess privacy vulnerabilities and direct breach containment workflows
  4. Review core knowledge domains and sample questions for privacy certifications including CDPSP and CDPSE
