Terms & conditions
Last updated: 12 October 2026
About these terms
These terms apply to every course booked with ARUK Training Ltd ("ARUK", "we", "us") and to the use of this website. ARUK Training Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 11718190), registered office 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU. Contact: [email protected], +44 7462 102778.
"You" means the person or organisation making the booking. "Delegate" means the person named on the booking who attends the course.
1. Making a booking
You can ask to book through this website, by email or by WhatsApp. When you register on the website you must tick the box confirming that you have read and accept these terms. A registration or enquiry does not by itself reserve a place.
A booking becomes a contract when we send you a written booking confirmation. These terms, together with that confirmation and any quotation we have given you, are the whole agreement between us. Any terms you send us (for example on a purchase order) do not apply unless we agree to them in writing.
Places on public courses are limited. A place is only guaranteed once the full fee has been received.
2. Fees and payment
Course fees are shown per delegate in pounds sterling (£) and exclude VAT, which is added where it applies. Fees for in-house, meeting-room, 1-to-1, online and consulting work are set in your quotation.
Group discounts on public courses: 20% for 2 delegates, 35% for 3 delegates and 50% for 5 or more delegates on the same course, unless your quotation says otherwise.
The full fee is payable in advance. We invoice you when we confirm the booking, and payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date and in any case before the course starts. If you book less than 14 days before the start date, payment is due immediately.
If payment has not been received by the due date, we may release the place to someone else and we may withhold the certificate of attendance until the invoice is paid. Bank and transfer charges are paid by you, and payments may not be reduced by any set-off or deduction. We may charge interest on late payments at the rate allowed by the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Fees cover the training, course materials and the refreshments stated in your confirmation. Travel, accommodation, visas and insurance are not included unless your quotation says so.
3. Cancellation by you
Cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected]. The date we receive your email is the date of cancellation.
Public courses: if you cancel 30 or more calendar days before the course start date, we refund the fees you have paid. If you cancel less than 30 calendar days before the start date, the full fee is payable and nothing is refunded.
In-house, meeting-room and 1-to-1 courses: if you cancel 45 or more calendar days before the start date, we refund the fees you have paid, less any costs we have already paid or committed to on your behalf (such as venue hire). If you cancel less than 45 calendar days before the start date, the full fee is payable and nothing is refunded.
Online courses cannot be cancelled once the booking is confirmed, and their fees are not refundable.
A delegate who does not attend, or attends only part of a course, is charged the full fee and no refund is given.
Refunds are paid to the account the payment came from.
4. Substitutions
A place is booked for the named delegate only. Another person cannot attend in their place.
5. Moving to another date or city
You may ask to move a booking to a later date or a different city. Any move is entirely at ARUK's discretion, depends on availability and must be agreed by us in writing. Requests must reach us at least 30 calendar days before the original start date.
If the new course has a higher fee, you pay the difference. We may also charge an administration fee, which we will tell you before you agree. A booking can be moved only once, and a moved booking cannot then be cancelled for a refund.
6. Changes or cancellation by ARUK
We may change the course content, trainer or venue (within the same city) if we need to, provided the course still meets its stated objectives.
We may cancel or postpone a course, for example if there are not enough delegates. If we do, we will tell you as early as we can and offer you a place on another date or in another city. If you do not want that, we will refund the fees you have paid for that course in full.
We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, visa or other costs you have paid if a course is cancelled, postponed or changed. Please do not book non-refundable travel or accommodation until we have confirmed in writing that the course will run.
7. Travel and visas
Delegates are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, visas and travel insurance. On request we can send a letter confirming the booking to support a visa application. A refused or delayed visa does not change the cancellation terms in section 3.
8. Attendance, conduct and certificates
Delegates who attend the whole course receive an ARUK Training Certificate of Attendance. We may withhold the certificate if a delegate misses part of the course or if the fee has not been paid.
Delegates must follow the trainer's reasonable instructions and the venue's rules. We may remove a delegate whose behaviour disrupts the course or affects other delegates, and no refund is given.
9. Course materials
All course materials, including slides, handouts and exercises, belong to ARUK Training Ltd or its licensors. They are for the delegate's own use. They may not be copied, scanned, shared or sold, in whole or in part, without our written permission.
Sessions may not be recorded on video or audio without our written permission.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Otherwise, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, opportunity or data, however it arises. Our total liability for any booking is limited to the fees you have paid for that booking.
11. Events outside our control
We are not liable for any delay or failure to deliver a course caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, fire, flood, strikes, travel disruption, illness of the trainer, pandemic restrictions, government action or the failure of a venue or supplier. If this happens, we will tell you as soon as we can and offer another date or city.
12. If you book as a private individual
These terms are written mainly for organisations. If you book for yourself as a private individual, nothing in them affects your statutory rights. In particular, if you book online or by phone, you may cancel within 14 days of the booking being confirmed. If you ask the course to start within those 14 days, we may charge for any part of the training already delivered.
13. Using this website
We try to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but course outlines, dates and fees may change. The confirmed details are the ones in your quotation or booking confirmation.
The text, course outlines, photos, videos and logos on this website belong to ARUK Training Ltd or are used with permission. Please do not copy them for commercial use without our written agreement.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
14. Personal data
How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
15. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any part of our service, email [email protected] and we will look into it and reply.
16. General
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this website when your booking is confirmed applies to that booking. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
