Course overview

Coordination requires a clear understanding of the project's work and the people involved. The CPC course examines the project coordinator's duties and skills, including organising tasks, analysing information and managing several demands at once. Project lifecycle stages provide the context for these responsibilities and their contribution to project results.

Stakeholders have different interests. Delegates consider influence and impact, build relationships and tailor messages to different stakeholders during a day that introduces the use of stakeholder maps and communication dashboards. Planning sessions then address objectives, milestones and deliverables, together with resource allocation, risk identification and progress reporting.

Conflict is examined through its sources and the techniques used to resolve disputes. Active listening and constructive feedback accompany exercises in participation, accountability and team collaboration. The final day applies accurate documentation, knowledge sharing and lessons learnt to project review and closure, ending with a group coordination challenge.
