Course overview

Frontline security supervision demands operational firmness balanced with strict legal compliance. Supervisors must lead guarding personnel, handle unexpected public confrontations and enforce site rules without overstepping statutory powers. Mistakes on site quickly escalate into liability. This programme equips security team leaders with practical supervisory techniques to maintain order across commercial facilities.

Delegates review the legal boundaries of detention and arrest alongside reporting standards and evidence preservation. The curriculum then explores physical security controls, including patrolling schedules, search protocols, access systems and CCTV surveillance. Practical modules cover fire awareness, basic first aid principles and emergency evacuation drills.

Attendees practise defusing aggressive encounters, disengagement techniques and lawful physical intervention methods to ensure safe escorts when situations require direct action.

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  1. Outline the statutory duties, powers and operational responsibilities of frontline security officers
