Course overview

Workplace composition changes alongside technology and global business conditions. Diversity and inclusion are examined as strategic issues as well as compliance considerations, including their relationship with creativity, innovation, performance and ethical growth of the Employer Value Proposition (EVP). Global benchmarks and working practices inform the business case and a process for defining a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Behaviour makes culture visible. Delegates study role-model language and conduct, practical ways to support a balanced and harmonious workplace, and the development of supervisors and employees who attend to diversity. Unconscious bias, generational communication and conflict are explored through workplace scenarios. Cultural analysis connects individual attitudes, management skills and policies with organisational change, while strategies link diversity with long-term organisational direction. The final sessions address sustained initiatives, monitoring, inclusive mentoring and coaching, and an action plan for continuing work.
