Course overview

Marketing public relations connects brand awareness, trust and corporate reputation with business goals. Delegates examine its development and components, then work on integrating marketing and public relations strategies for different audiences. Traditional media practice sits alongside digital platforms, influencer marketing and emerging approaches. Practical application is part of the programme.

The course starts with MPR's place in Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) and the theories used to guide it, including Grunig and Hunt's four models and the PESO model. Planning sessions address strategy, brand storytelling, tactics and crisis communication, with measurement and evaluation included in the planning process. Media relations work covers stakeholder mapping, press conferences and negative coverage.

Digital sessions follow content from creation to distribution and consider social media strategies and digital crisis management. Applications, practical projects and cases support the work. The closing module examines data and analytics, sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), alongside global and cross-cultural MPR and the predictions and challenges affecting its future.
