Course overview

Project teams use forecasts and progress information to decide how to allocate work and respond to risk. The course examines AI applications in those decisions, with practical examples of how the tools affect workflows and stakeholder engagement. Delegates compare conventional project management models with approaches supported by machine learning and automation.

Six modules follow the project lifecycle. Work covers initiation and planning, scheduling and monitoring, then project closure and documentation of lessons learned. Delegates compare AI tools and assess their compatibility with existing project software before interpreting predictive models for costs, timelines and resource needs.

Dashboards connect analysis with reporting. Delegates examine natural language generation, data accuracy and bias, then practise risk simulations and task prioritisation with AI assistants, MS Project and ChatGPT. The final module addresses privacy, legal compliance and ethical failures, together with organisational change and governance arrangements for AI adoption.

Course objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  1. Analyse how AI technologies change project management practices
  2. Choose appropriate software for different delivery stages
  3. Interpret predictive analytics to control risks and resources
  4. Build smart dashboards and reports for faster decision-making
  5. Apply these technologies during live project simulations
  6. Evaluate ethical, legal and organisational considerations in AI use
