Unpredictable regional and economic conditions create challenges for organisational planning. This programme examines Business Continuity Management (BCM) as a means of protecting the organisation and strengthening its resilience. Practical tools, systems and reports support development of a customised Business Continuity Plan and its subsequent implementation and management. Delegates work on new systems and improvements to existing arrangements.
Policy provides the foundation. The six modules cover programme leadership, stakeholder expectations and the legislation, regulations and standards relevant to continuity work, including ISO 22301-2019 and BCMS requirements. Planning sessions address ownership, structure, costs and the roles of continuity managers and team leaders. A competencies framework and analysis of training needs connect the programme to operational planning.
Risk management and business impact analysis complete the work, distinguishing strategic, tactical and operational analysis and including a case study. Presentations and individual and team activities support the construction, deployment and validation of continuity strategies and plans.
