Course overview

Conflicting priorities and limited resources can make it difficult to manage tasks and maintain a work-life balance. The programme examines how attitudes towards change affect that work, including responses to setbacks, negative feedback and rising expectations from customers or internal stakeholders. Delegates consider motivation and the relationships needed to meet team objectives.

Agility begins with personal assumptions. The first two days define mindset and agility, distinguish being agile from doing agile and examine the history of agile practice. Delegates review their core beliefs through examples and role-play, with fixed and growth mindsets providing a basis for personal reflection.

Organisational work follows over two days. Sessions examine five ways of being agile, opportunities for growth and the risks and barriers that organisations face, including why traditional projects fail. The final day turns to agile leadership and past behaviour. Delegates identify personal obstacles and develop a plan for continued learning and participation in the agile movement.
