Recruitment develops the capabilities an organisation needs for its future as well as meeting current vacancy requirements. Planning, implementing and managing recruitment in line with business goals is the focus of the programme. Workforce forecasts, critical skill gaps and talent pipelines inform strategic plans, with attention to time-to-hire, hiring costs and turnover as areas for monitoring.
The employer brand shapes expectations. Sessions address the Employer Value Proposition (EVP), job postings, candidate perceptions and experience from first contact. Digital platforms, social media and targeted sourcing are considered with diversity, equity and inclusion. Active and passive candidates require sourcing approaches, while assessments, competency-based and behavioural interviews, and consistent structures support selection. Legal and ethical issues, cultural fit and offer decisions are examined.
Onboarding links hiring with retention. The work distinguishes strategic onboarding from administrative orientation and considers team integration, feedback, engagement, performance and collaboration between HR and line managers. Data, KPIs and audits support recruitment evaluation, including dashboards and performance reviews. Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), artificial intelligence (AI) and recruitment analytics are studied alongside future workforce and generational changes. Cases, presentations, discussions and simulations connect theory and working practices with a recruitment roadmap and action plan.
