Government agencies face disruption, loss of public trust and threats to societal stability when crises occur. Protecting citizens and critical infrastructure requires anticipation as well as action during an emergency and recovery afterwards. Preparedness starts with risk. Day 1 examines leadership and governance across the crisis lifecycle. On Day 2, delegates identify agency vulnerabilities and use assessment tools and technologies to develop risk frameworks, response protocols and contingency plans.
Days 3 and 4 bring together resource deployment and coordination, information handling as events unfold and techniques for decisions under pressure, followed by communication and stakeholder engagement. Government response cases accompany simulations and role-play. Work on media relations addresses misinformation, transparency and stakeholder trust, including cooperation with outside partners, NGOs and private businesses. Workshops support plan development; Day 5 examines recovery, the return to routine operations, after-action reviews, resilience within communities and organisations, and action plans for improving crisis frameworks.
