Course overview
Enterprise performance involves operational strategy and the management of change. The course examines how organisational culture, processes and management tools support that work, with attention to the project management knowledge and competencies needed to improve individual projects and operational activities. Customer and stakeholder outcomes form part of the performance discussion.
Strategy provides the starting point. Delegates examine vision, values and mission through the Balanced Scorecard, using financial, customer, business process and change or growth perspectives to connect objectives, performance drivers and feedback. They then consider the project lifecycle and stakeholder involvement before preparing plans, estimates and schedules.
Implementation requires monitoring and control. Reporting, evaluation and closure follow the work on project execution, with quality, time, cost, resources and risk treated as project management responsibilities. Process mapping and Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR) occupy the fifth day, which ends with course review and action planning.
