Course overview

Global teams bring different expectations about leadership and communication into the workplace. Executives attending this course examine how those expectations affect their relationships, and how a growth mindset can support their own development while they lead across cultures. The opening sessions introduce cultural intelligence, international leadership challenges and ethical considerations.

Practice follows discussion throughout the programme. Stories, workshops and cross-border role-play give delegates opportunities to examine limiting beliefs, respond to change and consider how failure can inform learning. Work on executive awareness addresses cultural nuances in leadership styles, with attention to empathy, hierarchy and the impact of leaders' efforts to motivate a diverse team.

Spoken communication receives attention alongside body language. Delegates practise listening across cultures and examine communication in virtual settings, then turn to building trust in international relationships and maintaining professional networks. The fifth day includes global professional branding and an action plan for cultural leadership.
