Course overview

HR transformation concerns the function's role as a strategic partner and its ability to contribute measurable outcomes alongside service delivery. Delegates study Strategic HRM (SHRM), stakeholder expectations and the alignment of HR initiatives with organisational goals. The work examines how to lead transformation, improve stakeholder engagement and assess HR's part in developing and executing strategy across industries.

Models guide the analysis. Business partners, shared services and centres of expertise are considered alongside steps for forming an HR strategy. Stakeholder tools and the Business Model Canvas (BMC) support a business model plan, while SWOT, PESTLE and Five Forces examine strategic conditions. Balanced Scorecards and SHRM metrics connect analysis with measurement. Leadership, teamwork, retention and future HR trends inform the evaluation of the function, including predictive planning software, trend analysis and an absenteeism example. Presentations, discussions, exercises, videos, small-group work, cases and feedback provide practical applications before personal action planning.

  2. Conduct stakeholder analysis
