Course overview

Measuring and managing carbon emissions is now a core requirement for many businesses. Regulatory pressures and market expectations demand that organisations accurately track their environmental impact, calculate their footprint, and take immediate steps to reduce it.

This course covers the entire process. Delegates start by exploring the regulatory drivers behind carbon reporting and the methods used to calculate emissions. The sessions cover how to collect data and apply standard accounting protocols for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.

In the second half of the week, the focus turns to practical reduction, where delegates review energy efficiency, renewable energy, and emissions trading. The final days cover international reporting frameworks, stakeholder communication, and how to use carbon data to inform business strategy and assess risk. By the end of the programme, teams will have a clear methodology for calculating emissions, reporting them accurately, and identifying viable reduction projects.
