Course overview

Modern enterprises accumulate massive transactional datasets across distributed systems. Raw telemetry offers substantial commercial value, but query latency and unstructured storage frequently obstruct timely decision-making. Microsoft Power BI provides the infrastructure needed to connect disparate databases, extract behavioural trends and deliver interactive visual intelligence across corporate departments.

Five days of instruction combine architectural principles with intensive laboratory exercises. Delegates connect to scalable storage engines including SQL databases, Hadoop clusters and cloud lakes in Azure. They construct semantic data relationships, normalise schema tables in Power Query, and write complex measures using DAX expressions to identify clustering and association patterns.

Delegates deploy native AI visuals like Key Influencers, integrate Azure Machine Learning algorithms, and configure natural language Q&A search tools. Final modules demonstrate performance tuning, role-based security permissions and dashboard distribution through Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

  • Cancel in writing 30 or more days before the start date (45 for in-house) for a refund. Later than that, the full fee is payable.
  • No refund for non-attendance or partial attendance.
  • Places are for the named delegate only; another person cannot attend instead.
  • Moving to another date or city is only possible if ARUK agrees in writing.
