Course overview
Investment decisions require evidence about what a project can deliver. The course connects feasibility assessment with project planning so that technical, commercial, financial and organisational considerations inform execution and the delivery of benefits to the organisation and its main stakeholders. It examines both the value of a feasibility study and how to conduct one.
The first five modules address feasibility, options and risk. Delegates examine cost and investment methods, cash-flow forecasting and the preparation of a feasibility report, then consider business planning and presentation. Pitching exercises, multiple intelligences and the learning cycle accompany the communication work.
Project formulation follows. Principles, performance domains and lifecycle choices provide the context for stakeholder priorities and the project charter. Delegates then develop a project management plan and work through planning processes for the main management areas. Execution preparation closes the outline. Practical discussions use examples from delegates' own organisations alongside case studies, videos and team activities.
