Public sector leaders manage organisational complexity while making decisions that affect citizens. The programme connects integrity and good governance with the practical work of building trust, influencing change and inspiring teams. Day 1 compares public and private sector leadership and considers leadership styles, their effects and ethical decisions.
Strategy needs judgement. Day 2 addresses planning, critical thinking and problem solving, including the balance between policy priorities and limited resources. Communication on Day 3 covers transparency and stakeholder relationships inside and outside the organisation, together with public perceptions and expectations, conflict and collaboration.
Innovation and change occupy Day 4, including resistance, agile teams and adaptability. Cases illustrate change initiatives and leadership practice. The closing work connects accountability and anti-corruption measures with sustainability in governance strategies. Role-play and simulations provide practice in decisions and problem solving, while action planning supports individual leadership strategies and sustainable public sector outcomes.
