Course overview

Ambiguous operating instructions leave frontline security personnel uncertain during routine shifts and critical emergencies. When organisations operate without formal documentation, guards rely on personal discretion, creating operational inconsistencies and legal liability. Instruction prepares security leaders to draft enforceable policies, operational procedures and detailed post instructions.

Delegates examine the distinction between high-level policy statements and practical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Coursework addresses the 5 essential components of security policies, 3 categories of operational controls and statutory compliance obligations. Attendees evaluate both top-down governance models and bottom-up operational feedback mechanisms.

Four modules make up the course. Later sessions guide delegates through writing formal Assignment Instructions, reporting protocols and security codes of ethics. Delegates review performance metrics to assess procedural adherence and identify compliance gaps across commercial sites.
