Course overview

Recruitment and retention affect an organisation's ability to meet its long-term goals. This course places both within workforce strategy, covering the tools used to attract suitable candidates and the conditions that encourage employees to stay. Delegates consider employer branding, recruitment channels and future talent pipelines before working through screening, structured interviews, assessments and onboarding for new employees.

Talent decisions need evidence. Recruitment measures, predictive analytics, engagement surveys and retention performance indicators form the data topics across the five days, alongside discussion of employee motivation and the causes of turnover. Delegates consider retention programmes, compensation and benefits, recognition and leadership responsibilities. Social media and artificial intelligence feature in the acquisition topics. Lectures and group discussions use adult learning techniques to explore these methods and their application in a changing business environment.
