Managing diversity involves recognising how people experience inclusion at work. Over five days, managers examine cultural differences and the unconscious biases that can affect their own behaviour and decisions. The course draws on more than forty years of diversity research, with attention to awareness and skills developed over time. Training methods and the outcomes measured affect how its effectiveness is assessed.

Delegates consider what makes people feel respected and able to contribute, then examine the business case for inclusion and its relationship with transformational leadership. The sessions also address a workplace culture in which people can speak up.

Days four and five turn to Cultural Intelligence (CI), the seven levels of culture, cross-cultural negotiation, multi-cultural teamwork, and communication barriers including body language interpreted across different cultural norms. The programme closes with delegates constructing a Personal Action Plan.
