Financial professionals are frequently asked to predict how a business will perform under different scenarios. Doing this accurately requires strong analytical skills. It also requires the ability to build flexible models in Excel. This course teaches delegates how to interpret past performance, before using it as a reliable baseline for future projections.
The programme starts with financial analysis, showing delegates how to perform vertical, horizontal, and trend analysis. Delegates calculate and interpret a wide range of ratios. These cover liquidity, solvency, profitability, and asset management. They explore the DuPont models. They also evaluate cash flow patterns to determine the quality of earnings.

They then learn to construct interactive models using data tables, Goal Seek, and form controls like spinners and option boxes.
