Post-crisis conditions change the decisions facing managers at every level. The course examines new rules and lessons from that business environment, with methods for assessing, monitoring and reporting emerging risks to guide decisions, operations and adherence to regulations and mandates. Corporate Governance (CG) opens the programme, including its value, implementation barriers and the responsibilities of board members, senior management and internal and external parties.
Risk assessment follows. Delegates explore categories, classifications and Enterprise Risk Management taxonomies, then use Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), heat maps, Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators. Continuity, disaster recovery and resiliency plans receive attention alongside risk-management responsibilities after a crisis. Internal audit and compliance work considers their roles during a pandemic, the control environment and the move towards risk-based programmes, including relationships with risk management. Business and financial lessons from the global crisis and 10 life lessons from the global outbreak conclude the programme.
