Responding involves choosing strategies, adapting to new situations and recognising risks that may need mitigation. It can also prompt innovative ideas and reveal opportunities. Delegates examine the mindset and skills involved in setting strategies for uncertain professional and personal circumstances.
Research reduces some unknowns. Sessions examine market trends, data collection and business analysis, with artificial intelligence (AI) and Google Analytics considered as sources of insight. Strategic priorities are then examined through scenario planning: identifying possible conditions, assessing their effects and developing contingencies. Decision frameworks help structure choices while recognising the difficulties of acting under uncertainty.
Risk and opportunity are considered together in strategic responses and business case studies. Agile leadership sessions address techniques and strategies for building agility, the culture that supports it and self-care in resilience. Delegates also consider self-management, control and systems thinking, and prepare a personal action plan for applying the principles. Hands-on team work produces scenario plans for presentation, with group discussions and interactive activities supporting the exchange of knowledge and working practices.
