Organisations hold data in a wide variety of formats. Spreadsheets, CSV files, web sources and shared folders each present their own preparation problems. Converting these into clear, consistent dashboards is a task that eats time when done manually, and the results are often out of date before they reach anyone who needs them.
This course teaches delegates to connect to external data sources and automate preparation using Power Query. Sessions cover filtering, sorting, pivoting and adding conditional columns. Work then moves into Power BI Desktop, where delegates build report views and apply a full range of visual types, from basic charts to matrix visuals, slicers, timelines, cards, maps, tooltips, drill-through functions and bookmarks.

The course closes with DAX formulas, including CALCULATE, RELATED and iterative functions such as SUMX, COUNTX and AVERAGEX.
