Course overview

Change initiatives place demands on a manager's behaviour as well as on the organisation. This course gives current and developing leaders time to examine their personal approach through models, tools and processes for managing change. Relationships receive particular attention. Sessions consider empowerment and how leaders manage themselves, other people and their working environment.

The five days begin with transitions and self-coaching before examining confidence, attitude and approaches to creative thinking. Work on team building covers assembling a team and creating conditions in which its members can contribute, with strategic goal setting as part of that process. Delegates examine the role of motivation in maintaining energy and momentum.

The programme considers three types of motivation and 35 ways of staying motivated, followed by work on self-discipline and appreciation. Ten decision-making steps feed into a personal action plan. Tony Robbins' emphasis on initiative and persistence provides context for taking action and following it through.
