Course overview

Senior personal assistants operate as close operational partners to executive leaders rather than reactive clerical staff. When executive offices lack structured coordination systems, confidential workflows stall and senior executives become overwhelmed by administrative minutiae. Instruction prepares executive assistants to anticipate executive needs, manage workplace politics and maintain efficient office routines.

Delegates explore the four dimensions of Emotional Intelligence (EI), examining self-awareness, personal accountability, political astuteness and stakeholder engagement. Sessions address assertive communication, conflict de-escalation with difficult colleagues, persuasive pitching and drafting impactful executive correspondence, including formal minutes of meetings.

Emotional intelligence gets its own day. Management principles receive structured attention through planning, organising, delegating and controlling frameworks. Delegates apply SMART goal-setting models, coaching clinic simulations and creative problem-solving techniques to improve office efficiency. Concluding sessions explore customer-focused visitor protocols and personal stress management worksheets to sustain long-term resilience.
