Course overview

Work changes affect learning needs. Automation, remote work and the gig economy provide context for examining adaptability, career development and job satisfaction. The course addresses growth and fixed mindsets, experimentation, innovation and feedback, with practical methods for identifying problems, resolving them and using lessons learnt. Delegates consider how to access learning resources through technology and build connections with other learners.

Self-direction connects goals with action. Personal plans reflect interests and career objectives, with time management and constructive criticism included in the work on learning activities. Obstacles such as limited time, low motivation and fear of failure lead into resilience, stakeholder support and learning communities, including professional associations, forums and mentoring. Team knowledge sharing, leadership support, performance management and talent development then provide the organisational setting for sustaining learning and advocating workplace initiatives. Reflection and action planning address both personal and professional application.
