Course overview

When supervisors lack clear insight into their own emotional triggers and behavioural tendencies, team communication falters, interpersonal friction rises across departments and productivity slows down. Developing self-awareness gives managers the objective perspective needed to regulate reactions and communicate constructively.

Across six modules, this course combines structured self-assessment with practical interpersonal methods. Because leading teams requires balancing empathetic personal listening with organisational accountability, delegates evaluate their communication style through multiple diagnostic instruments, including emotional intelligence questionnaires, assertiveness evaluations and the Meirc Behavioural Profile. They also craft individual mission statements and align personal goals with team performance.

Subsequent modules address developmental coaching, persuasive advocacy and transformational leadership. Through realistic role-play exercises, delegates practice conducting coaching conversations, overcoming resistance to change and framing proposals that motivate departmental colleagues.
