Communication tasks range from a presentation or email to a conversation where people disagree. The programme develops clear, confident and persuasive expression for personal and professional settings, alongside listening and emotional intelligence. Day 1 examines communication concepts, the sender-message-receiver-feedback process and barriers, then connects speech with body language, tone, gestures and active listening through role-play.
Presentations need structure. On Day 2, delegates address anxiety, organise introductions, bodies and conclusions and use PowerPoint and charts as visual aids. Voice modulation, pace and emphasis accompany audience interaction and Q&A, with short presentations and feedback. Writing on Day 3 covers clarity, concision, coherence, audience adaptation and common pitfalls before emails, reports, proposals, editing and revision.
Persuasion on Day 4 examines ethos, pathos and logos, credibility, trust and storytelling, followed by persuasive arguments and calls to action and analysis of successful campaigns. Closing work addresses conflict causes and types, difficult conversations and emotional intelligence, with role-play and constructive feedback. Lectures and group work combine with morning and afternoon activities; daily breaks allow Q&A and a workbook provides templates, checklists and resources.
