Course overview

Protecting an organisation's reputation before, during and after a crisis requires thorough contingency planning. This course explains how to identify potential hazards and establish a Crisis Management Team (CMT). It covers the practical side of emergency preparedness. The focus is on how to maintain normal operations or resume them efficiently when the unexpected happens.

During the five days, delegates explore the systems and culture underpinning risk management. They examine the exact roles of both the Incident Management Team (IMT) and the Emergency Response Team (ERP). The training covers hazard analysis. It also looks at business continuity planning and the psychology of crisis decisions. Finally, attendees learn how to run a Medical Emergency Response (MER) plan and manage liaison with the public and emergency services.
