Strategic analysis helps an organisation interpret external pressures and internal challenges before deciding how to respond. PESTLE examines macro-environmental factors affecting performance, while SWOT brings capabilities and weaknesses together with opportunities and threats. Delegates practise structured analysis and align strategic goals with external trends through workplace applications and case studies.
Evidence guides choices. Sessions examine sources of external data, environmental scanning and internal capability audits. Political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental factors are assessed through PESTLE; a SWOT matrix then helps identify priorities. Integration work includes strategy mapping, scenarios and the assessment of strategic risks before a high-level plan is developed.
Organisational applications concern foresight, market responsiveness and alignment between internal capabilities and external demands. Planning and decisions use data, with attention to proactive strategy, resilience and leadership preparation. Delegates also practise analytical thinking and decision-making in complex business conditions and contribute to strategic initiatives through their own analyses. Instructor-led sessions, discussions and scenario work lead to presentations, facilitator and peer feedback, revised plans, personal and team goals and a 90-day implementation roadmap.
