Course overview

Quality initiatives often remain isolated from executive strategy, functioning as inspection units rather than drivers of commercial value. When corporate plans fail to incorporate quality targets, departmental budgets diverge and strategic execution suffers. This course prepares quality managers and planners to bridge operational control with long-term strategic objectives.

Delegates review the seven principles of strategic quality management, evaluating deployment models and excellence award frameworks. Instruction covers environmental scanning, stakeholder mapping, quality maturity ladders and the formulation of clear vision, mission and policy statements. Attendees identify Critical Success Factors (CSFs) to ground quality aspirations in operational realities.

Subsequent modules explore the transition from strategic priorities to functional action plans. Delegates apply TOWS analysis, offensive and defensive strategy frameworks and the How-How technique to select viable quality initiatives. Final sessions establish performance measurement systems, linking Key Result Areas (KRAs) to balanced scorecards, KPI cards and executive monitoring dashboards.
