Course overview

Because cross-cultural misunderstandings or diplomatic missteps can derail commercial negotiations and damage institutional partnerships before discussions even begin, organisations hosting foreign trade delegations require structured protocol safeguards to preserve credibility. Adhering to established conventions protects corporate standing across international markets.

Six modules cover contemporary etiquette and protocol frameworks. Delegates examine verbal and written communication rules, proper forms of address, gift-giving practices and dining conduct during formal engagements. They evaluate behavioural norms across diverse regions.

Specialised units concentrate on coordinating official delegations and hosting VIP dignitaries. Delegates practise designing seating charts, arranging ceremonial displays involving national flags and national anthems, and establishing contingency plans for high-profile summits.
